We are excited to announce that we have begun beta testing our Tagvertising Platform. A limited stage widget is now being deployed to hundreds of beta testing sites. You may experience some increased Tagvertising Commissions due to the release of these beta stage widgets. There will be up's and down's as we roll out Tagvertising throughout the Internet. Overall, we think you will experience a gradual, steady increase in Tagvertising commissions as more and more Tags are targeted and more publishers help us distribute additional advertisements.

We have changed the PIF system and rules. Some members had large PIF Credit balances and may not have desired this now with the new rules. Therefore, we have reset all PIF Credits back to normal tagvillage Credits. Please do not be alarmed if your PIF Credits balance suddenly became 0, because you will notice that they were added back to your normal Credits balance. (Read more)

We have received several emails and other inquiries regarding the process for announcing the Tag Guru Contest winners. So, we thought it would be best to clarify the way it will happen:

1. On January 1st, 2012 at 0:00:00 server time, the contest will end. No further Guru Points or Guru Stars will be awarded.
2. From January 1st to January 5th we will calculate the results and run several processes to disqualify any accounts we determine committed fraud or otherwise cheated.

UPDATE: we are happy to announce that tagvillage has signed a deal with a major advertising network this week. When our Tagvertising distribution system launches, it will include ad content from one of the largest online ad networks. Advertisements from over 60,000 advertisers will be fed to us directly by this network. This means publishers will have access to the highest quality advertising content to monetize their sites. It never seems to fail. At least a few times each week I receive a message asking why we have not released a search engine or social network yet. I understand these questions in light of the fact that for many people the "proof in the pudding" for our concept will be a working social network and/or search engine. Once in a while, I receive a message asking why we haven't released a social network that competes with Facebook or a search engine that competes with Google yet.
