Payout Method Updates
Published: Jan. 20, 2012

It has been a long day here at tagvillage corporate headquarters today. Unfortunately we have been experiencing some technical and regulatory issues regarding payouts to our members. There are a few bits of 'bad news' and one piece of 'good news' that we feel we need to share with you.

AlertPay Issues

As many of you are aware, AlertPay has been wrought with payment processing issues for the past several months. Several months ago AlertPay lost the ability to process credit card transactions. Then, they lost the ability to process bank ACH and wire transfers. In November, they temporarily regained ...

Making History
Published: Jan. 10, 2012

The concept of keyword trading is not exactly new. For over 5 years, various businesses have explored the idea to allow their members to buy and sell words and phrases with the ultimate goal of sharing advertising revenue. Many of our long-term members have experienced the exciting launches of various keyword trading sites that were unable to deliver upon this goal for one reason or another. Until now, there has not been a keyword trading website that has delivered legitimate, credible advertising commissions to the owners of keywords, from legitimate, credible advertisers. In the next few days, this will change ...

UPDATE: we are happy to announce that tagvillage has signed a deal with a major advertising network this week. Advertisements from over 60,000 advertisers will be fed to us directly by this network. This means publishers will have access to the highest quality advertising content to monetize their sites. Tagvertising, Contest, and Development Updates
Published: Dec. 5, 2011

It never seems to fail. At least a few times each week I receive a message asking why we have not released a search engine or social network yet. I understand these questions in light of the fact that for many people the "proof in the pudding" for our concept will be a working social network and/or search engine. Once in a while, I receive a message asking why we haven't released a social network that competes with Facebook or a search engine that competes with Google yet. These questions puzzle me because they show that tagvillage has ...

Published: Nov. 21, 2011

We know this is the news our members have been waiting for! The Tagvertising Development Team met with our CEO again last week. We have not raised nearly enough extra funds for the Tagvertising Commissions platform through donations. However, we presented him with the emails and conversations from our members detailing how important this platform is to our membership. Upon reviewing all of this information, he let us in on a little secret. tagvillage has a major financial announcement coming out soon, and we will be moving along at a much more rapid pace than we ever thought possible before ...

All Eyes on Tagvertising Commissions
Published: Nov. 16, 2011

We have been talking a lot around the corporate offices the past several weeks about focus. Sometimes we get so many different projects working that we can't focus. So, we decided today to pick one item and pour all our energy into it until it is completed. The item we chose is Tagvertising Commissions.

For ten months now, members of tagvillage have by trading Tags like crazy. There are some very valuable Tags out there. And some of you own Tags we feel may earn quite a bit of Tagvertising Commission. Many of you have built inventories with impressive ...

A Strong Gut Feeling
Published: Oct. 29, 2011

Over the past several weeks I have been wrestling with a gut feeling that made me feel sick and uneasy, but I could not identify what was causing it. My gut kept telling me there was something wrong, something that would have a profoundly negative effect on the future of tagvillage. Our business has been growing consistently like a weed for almost a year. Then, suddenly out of the blue, it seemed like someone threw on the brakes. Numbers don’t lie. And the data from our site was telling me tagvillage was not performing as it should. The data ...
